about the candles

I make each candle in my kitchen in Washington, Connecticut using 100% soy wax, braided cotton wicks, and high quality phthalate-free fragrance oils. My candles are cruelty free, non-toxic, and poured by hand with love.

about the english teacher

After studying English, Gender & Women's Studies, and Mathematics at Connecticut College, I began teaching in the English Department at a boarding school. Currently, I teach English I (ninth grade) and A.P. English Language & Composition (eleventh grade). I am also pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching at Mount Holyoke College.

I started this business because scent memory is something that has always been a part of my life. In addition, I found myself lighting a candle every morning as part of my remote teaching routine during the COVID-19 pandemic. I aim to bring unique scents, beautiful candles, and literary inspiration into your homes.
